ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a hardworking, creative, and entrepreneurial spirit to help drive our international marketing efforts and help kickstart the next phase of our international growth. In this role, you’ll connect the dots between Peak Design HQ, the EMEA sales team, and our wholesale partners – keeping the latter inspired and engaged in the process. Our ideal candidate is a collaborative teammate with subject matter expertise in marketing who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves.

Note: This is a remote, contract position, and applicants can reside anywhere within the EU (does not have to be Portugal).

What You'll Do

    • Marketing Coordination: Collaborate with our international partners and retailers to execute joint marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, sales, and Environmental and Social Impact goals. 
    • Manage Country Champions: Directly support Peak Design Marketing Project Managers ensuring smooth execution of marketing campaigns, product launches, and community initiatives in various countries.
    • Off-site, Trade Show & Event Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and represent Peak Design at off-site partner events, trade shows, and other relevant industry gatherings, ensuring our brand is effectively and creatively communicated at these events. This includes registration, show logistics, show management, etc.
    • Regionalized and Global Influencer Strategy Development: Define a well-rounded influencer strategy that considers both regional and global influencers across multiple segments. Build relationships, negotiate partnerships, and measure their impact on brand awareness and sales.
    • Global Social Media Strategy and Optimization: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for the EMEA & APAC regions, including content creation, posting schedules, and engagement strategies. Optimize social media channels in collaboration with our regional partners. 
    • Press/Influencer Liaison: Act as a liaison between Peak Design and key press and influencer contacts. Handle media inquiries, product reviews, and interviews.
    • Retail/Environments - Hyperlocalization: Work on strategies for hyper-localized marketing efforts, ensuring that our brand messaging is tailored to specific regions and demographics.
    • Collect data about target demographics and analyze market trends to improve our wider marketing efforts. 

About You

    • 3+ years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in the photography, outdoor, or tech industries.
    • Understanding of marketing strategies, content creation, and social media platforms & management.
    • Experience working for a Corporate Social Responsibility/Environmental and Social Impact-conscious brand or startup is a plus. 
    • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time (i.e. about 12 weeks per year), within EMEA and internationally to the U.S., Middle East and APAC.
    • Exceptionally organized, thorough, and detail-oriented.
    • Cool under pressure. Things get hectic, especially around launches, and the unexpected is almost assured to happen when you bring new products to life.
    • Adept at planning, scheduling, and re-planning/re-scheduling. We move fast and nimbly and value the ability to pivot at any point in the game.
    • Strong ability to run efficient, organized meetings.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Confident. Every mind at Peak is open, but ideas need to be advocated for before they are adopted.
€60,000 - €80,000 a year
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors and may vary from the amounts listed above. We consider the skills and experience you bring, market data for your role, level, and location, and equitability across these areas as defined by our compensation philosophy.
