The Role:

Want to work on interesting technical problems around booking management and payments? Peek is looking for a Sr Fullstack engineer, the ideal candidate has 5+ years of development experience with Javascript and/or functional programming language. Our frontend app is built on top of ember.js and we use Elixir on the backend. In this role, you will have the opportunity to take a lot of ownership and learn new technologies.

Our engineering group works on several different products and systems: our Peek Pro operations management suite, embeddable scheduling & booking widgets, B2B and B2C sales and support tools, and custom development services for our enterprise customers.

Our team is 100% remote, however, we prefer candidates in the same time zones as the greater United States (UTC-10 to UTC-4). English is our business language, and fluency is required.

Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with Product Management and Design to build top-notch user experiences while focusing on code quality and maintaining codebase and system health
    • Act as a mentor to fellow software engineers, through code reviews, design document critiques, and brainstorms throughout the software development process
    • Taking ownership of features built from development through release to production
    • Communicating bug and feature testing implications to the QA team
    • Communicate effectively and participate with team members in an Agile environment
    • Advocating for a consistent and delightful customer experience
    • Deliver production-quality code with adequate automated test coverage

Requirements:

    • 5+ years of professional development using Javascript and/or Elixir.
    • Solid coding practices including peer code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration, TDD, etc
    • Exposure to unit and/or integration test frameworks

Bonus points for people who have experience with:

    • Working with GraphQL APIs
    • Working with Ember.js/Absinthe
    • Working with functional programming language
    • Working on B2B software or in the travel industry
    • Taking ownership and working on a small but mighty team
