Peek is looking for a highly talented, passionate and analytical individual to join our growing Finance team. This team is a small and talented cross-functional group that works directly with the executive leadership team to shape external direction and internal processes of our growing company. The team is made up of former Consultants and Finance professionals from companies like Bain and Deloitte, with significant operating experience at numerous high growth venture backed tech companies. The position is ideal for young professionals seeking experience at a tech startup experiencing rapid growth. Peek’s executive leadership team holds MBAs from Stanford GSB, HBS and NYU Stern. Working on the Peek Finance team is a great way to gain valuable operating experience. 

Example responsibilities

    • Coordinate with external accounting services to own monthly close process
    • Own monthly variance analysis process to compare results across periods
    • Work with FP&A on monthly variance analysis to compare results to Plan
    • Perform complex journal entries, including expense accruals
    • Perform general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis
    • Assists with accounts payable functions including but not limited to verifying invoices, expense reports, and corporate credit card management
    • Assists with accounts receivable functions including but not limited to applying payments to appropriate accounts, monthly invoicing, and reconciling customer accounts
    • Research Technical Accounting matters and draft memos citing relevant and appropriate guidance
    • Reviews and analyzes the organization's accounting operation; recommends improvements
    • Perform various ad-hoc analysis as needed 

Desired skills

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent at a top tier university
    • Minimum 3 yrs in Big 4 public accounting firm or as a senior on the accounting team at a technology company
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Process-oriented and goal driven personality
    • Excellent communications and presentation skills
    • Very organized with impeccable attention to detail and relentless follow-through
    • Proactive and able to work autonomously when necessary
    • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Looker) a plus
    • CPA preferred
