Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Planner to coordinate the scheduling and coordination for production of Pendulum’s novel probiotic strains. 

This person will ensure production scheduling at Pendulum's manufacturing facility in San Francisco is organized and efficient. The person in this role will coordinate complex production requirements (materials, resources, equipment) to maximize production capabilities and meet growing supply needs. They should be excited to learn and understand the manufacturing process and develop processes that enable agility and highest potential output. They will be familiar with building plans in Excel/Sheets and communicating those plans with internal and external collaborators.

What You'll Do:

    • Oversee all planning and scheduling for our internal production facility and with related partners
    • Facilitate weekly internal and external production planning meetings and follow-up to ensure timely completion of activities
    • Maintain schedule timelines and ensure all requirements (resources, materials) are confirmed
    • Review materials and resource shortages and adjust schedules as needed
    • Design and implement a process for routine capacity analysis to determine facility and equipment short and long-term potential
    • Refine existing planning models and set requirements to build out tools to automate functionality with Pendulum’s software team
    • Maintain related records in NetSuite

Knowledge Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
    • 5+ years production planning experience; experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
    • Advanced proficiency with modeling in Google Sheets or MS Excel, including experience with complex formulas
    • Experience with NetSuite highly preferred; proven ability to quickly learn new systems
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; advanced math and Excel skills
    • Analytical and methodical approach to information management
    • Continuous improvement and growth-mindset; seeks opportunities for efficiency, is confident to raise them, and capable to address them
    • Flexible and adaptable to a quickly evolving, dynamic start-up environment
    • Passion for entrepreneurship and a bias for action, a self-starter who is results oriented, resourceful, and organized
    • Ability to effectively manage workload by meeting deadlines and ensuring quality
    • Organized communicator, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player

Travel, Physical Demands & Work Environment:

    • This role requires you to be in the office 4-5 days a week
