Pendulum’s Senior Data Analyst will work at the intersection of marketing and data science, and be instrumental at driving top-line growth for the company. We are seeking a highly quantitative, driven, and intellectually curious Senior Data Analyst who has experience with marketing and sales operations, customer insights, and delivering data models/dashboards built for internal self-service--in addition to facilitating ad hoc data requests with short turnaround times.  You will lead the Marketing team’s efforts to analyze performance and lifecycle campaigns, identify and target the highest value customers, and optimize our product line. You’ll also work cross-functionally with Data Science, R&D, and Finance to socialize your insights and collaborate on findings. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, love to collaborate, and are comfortable in a startup environment where prioritization by impact is key!
 

Responsibilities

    • Support the efforts of the marketing team by creating analysis and reports, and bringing insights towards optimizing our consumer brand, lifecycle and performance campaigns to drive higher conversion rates, lower CAC, and higher LTV.
    • Optimize our growth by creating analysis and bringing insights to efficiently scale paid customer acquisition strategy (online and offline) across channels including but not limited to: paid social, paid search, SEO, content marketing, referral, email, influencer marketing, podcast, radio, affiliates and video advertising.
    • Unlock our customer funnel by mining data to understand purchase behavior, churn, and engagement metrics across our product and customer segments.
    • Manage our dashboards and reporting packages by designing and automating Tableau dashboards, as well as creating ad hoc analysis.
    • Support our AB testing strategy by partnering with the ecommerce team on testing plans, data capture, and final analysis. 
    • Uplevel our data program, democratizing access to marketing data and enabling data access and reporting visibility across the company.
    • Synthesize information across a wide variety of insight sources including: campaign marketing/media performance, customer analytics, findings from A/B tests, surveys, and partnership programs.
    • Work cross-functionally with the data engineering team to ensure data quality and timeliness, including accuracy of tracking via events, UTMs, pixels, etc.

Requirements

    • 4+ years of industry experience in Data Science and Analytics
    • 3+ years experience with SQL (required)
    • 2+ years of experience in Python and R (a bonus)
    • Experience working on customer analytics to drive user growth, retention/churn, attribution, and LTV models
    • Experience leading complex cross functional projects, teams, and prioritizing competing needs
    • Ability to perform data analysis and develop new metrics or modify existing metrics as needed for various marketing initiatives
    • Ability to design dashboards that visualize data driven insights
    • Demonstrated experience using spreadsheets and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.) to analyze marketing performance and forecast future growth
    • Strong understanding of statistical modeling and quantitative analysis techniques, including the development and use of attribution and media mix models
    • Experience with Google Tag Manager and managing site pixels, UTMs and events to accurately track data
    • General knowledge of how 3rd party tools work to pull marketing data from various platforms and APIs is a plus (i.e. Fivetran, DBT)
