We currently have a fantastic opportunity available to join us as an Apprentice Leakage Technician, within our Drinking Water Services team in Exeter.
You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive apprentice salary of £15,000 per annum (rising to a maximum of £19,000 in Year 2), plus excellent benefits and rewards.
About the role:
This is a new role, reporting to the Strategic Asset Leakage Manager. It will be a mixture of office-based and operational activity.

Over time, you will provide a central resource for the creation, maintenance, and improvement of company hydraulic modelling activities. Working with delivery teams, you'll be supporting projects, actions and interventions leading to water loss reduction.
We'll support you to be the best you can be in this role. You'll complete a Level 3 Water Process Technician apprenticeship to begin with, so you can gain familiarity with the fundamentals of water leakage and a recognised industry qualification.

Going forward, you'll also receive training in Network Modelling from our external training partner and be fully supported throughout your journey by your manager and mentor.

What we're looking for:

    • Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent
    • Ideally you'll have a Maths or Physics A-level (but this isn't essential)
    • A high level of computer literacy
    • Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
    • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
    • Organised, with a methodical approach to workload and the ability to prioritise
    • Excellent attention to detail, with well-honed problem-solving skills
    • Ideal for an individual who is looking to develop their skills to start a long and rewarding career
