We currently have a Reliability and Efficiency Facilitator position available for a motivated individual to join our team in the South West. Joining us on a full-time basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £29,000 - £32,235 per annum plus excellent benefits.
About the role
As the Reliability and Efficiency Facilitator you will work:
- To improve the reliability and efficiency of the assets at Sewage Treatment Works (STW) and Sewage Pumping Stations (SPS) within Waste Water Services (WWS).
- Improve the consistency of site planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and/or progressive maintenance activities in order to improve the overall performance of the site.
-In conjunction with the Reliability & Efficiency Manager, work to advance the development and optimisation of renewable energy opportunities within WWS.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Manage the Sewage Treatment Works Inlet Screen Maintenance Programme, along with an overview of contract expenditure
    • Development of Condition Based Maintenance tools and techniques
    • Rationalise the documentation around Waste Water Services maintenance activities in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001
    • Facilitate the creation of Operator and MEICA Maintenance Scheduled Tasks (MSTs), or equivalent, to increase the reliability of the assets
    • Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to increase consistency.
    • Undertake Lean & RCM reviews/workshops at Sewage Pumping Stations (SPS) and Sewage Treatment Works (STW) within Waste Water Service (WWS).
    • Manage the completion of actions derived from workshops
    • Implement FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
    • Conduct root cause analysis investigations following equipment breakdowns and implement solutions.
    • Liaison with the WWS Recovery & Treatment Area Manager, Area Maintenance Manager and other members of the team to ensure site operation and asset maintenance is optimised
    • Work closely with Managers and SWW Craftspersons and Contractors to deliver equipment replacements or modifications, as and when required, provide coaching and mentoring to team members
    • To use the PCs and associated computer hardware and software in order to complete your role effectively
    • Ensure all work is carried out safely

What we are looking for:

    • Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Mathematics, English and a Science subject A recognised Supervisory/Management qualification (or working towards) and experience
    • IOSH Health & Safety Qualification is desirable
    • Full UK Drivers Licence, able to travel around the work area using company vehicle
    • Experience of working in a team and an understanding of the importance of teamwork
    • Previous experience of operating and maintaining complex processes and working with modern technology
    • Proven experience of working with computers and software packages
    • Good communication skills, both oral and written
    • Knowledge in areas of process, systems, legislation, policies, and procedures including, but not limited to, Lean and RCM activities
    • Inspires others to perform by setting a good example and promotes personal development
