Role Summary:
Penta is seeking a mid-level professional to join our dynamic Brand Strategy team as a Senior Director of Brand Strategy. Senior Directors of Brand Strategy lead multiple client engagements and internal projects and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Senior Directors of Brand Strategy are responsible for all components of client and internal project management: strategy setting, daily client interactions, organizing teamwork internally, and guiding and mentoring strategists and interns in their work. 

A successful candidate has 8+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years of management experience in creative agencies or marketing/advertising, with experience directly managing people/staff as well as projects. They are intellectually curious, eager to learn and contribute, and work well on and with teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in campaigns or issues that go beyond consumer goods, such as public affairs/awareness campaigns or professional services, and a familiarity with public policy.

The Senior Director of Brand Strategy is expected to:
- Oversee and manage the strategic direction of projects, designate tasks to Producers and Designers accordingly, and ensure the team stays on track to meet clients' needs based on the scope of work agreements.
- Lead client meetings, serving as the first point of contact for any concerns or questions.
- Monitor clients' business, industry activities, and related media coverage to maintain a current knowledge base of the relevant market and news cycles.
- Use industry-specific research assessments to inform strategic client recommendations and proposals for potential clients.
- Work closely with client teams and internal teams to provide direction that turns qualitative and quantitative research into creative, emotionally compelling, and digital storytelling concepts that capture the depth of insights and findings. 
- Focus on macro strategic choices within the realms of brand strategy, campaign development, advertising, and digital strategy, rather than on details of design or production. 

The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, advertising, or a related creative field, 4+ in a leadership capacity managing teams
- An ability to lead, mentor, and motivate talented, high-achieving teams, empowering different types of personalities with a team-first mentality
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- The ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities
- A willingness to learn new skills and participate in new projects, leading by example and embracing new challenges
- Strong interest in creative content
- Past experience working in a client service environment
- Previous work on public affairs or public awareness campaigns, professional services, or complex issues like healthcare or finance is preferred
- Experience working on remote teams is preferred

Salary Range:
The base salary range for this position will be $140,000 -$160,000, depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications as they relate to the position.

Location and Remote Schedule:
This position is for US-based personnel and is fully remote, with a preference for candidates who can work Eastern Time hours.
