The Role:
Media Analysts are the main point of contact for our media monitoring clients. Media Analysts engage with clients to understand their needs; draft up-to-date scope documents; master our in-house tools to capture the most relevant data; and build in-depth knowledge of our clients’ communication priorities to deliver a great media monitoring experience.

This role requires media literacy, the ability to develop technical expertise, and a dedication to fantastic service, supporting your portfolio of clients through a rapidly evolving media landscape. Successful candidates will have an interest and curiosity in the media landscape; the ability to balance competing priorities; and adapt to evolving client needs in real time.

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day needs for a portfolio of media monitoring clients
  - Onboarding and corresponding with clients regularly to maintain a positive relationship
- Keep up with client and industry news on all media platforms
- Respond to custom requests such as recording events, clipping broadcast segments, creating coverage compendiums, and  pulling topic-specific data and historical research.
- Monitoring, manipulating, and overseeing Penta’s technology to capture relevant coverage, inclusive of setup and maintenance of back-end configurations for new and existing clients
- Gathering and analyzing data to provide media insights for client metrics reports 
- Recording events
- Creating newsletters and compendium
- Assist with training and team knowledge sharing
- Close communication with the team regarding client updates and best practices
- Liaise with our back-end support teams as needed for query resolution

Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in media monitoring, professional communications, or government relations (internships considered)
- Degree in communications, journalism, government, economics, data science, or related field 
- Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities
- Motivated worker with a willingness to collaborate and tackle problems with a solution-oriented attitude Interest in the media and the 24/7 news cycle
- Must have access to a reliable high-speed broadband internet connection
- Proficiency–-and ability to grow skills–-in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Location:
This position is for US-based personnel and is fully remote, and preference will be given to applicants living in the EST or PST time zones. The role may require travel to our offices from time to time.
