With limited direction and supervision, the Facilities Technician II is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of structures and equipment related to the Company’s local facilities and grounds. The work hours for this role on the swing shift are Monday - Friday, 2pm-10:30pm PT.
 
What You’ll Work On
• Assist, with some instruction, repairing walls, ceilings, tiles, flooring, doors, etc. that are damaged in the day-to-day work environment.
• Assist, with some instruction, fulfilling employee requests for equipment and supplies (whiteboards, chairs, file cabinets, office supplies, copier paper, copier toner, etc.).
• Assist, with some instruction, repairing or replacing any inoperable lighting (lamps, ballasts, LED drivers, etc.).
• Assist, with some instruction, patching and painting walls and trim as required.
• Assist, with some instruction, repairing liquid leaks from plumbing fixtures, water coolers, coffee machines, etc.
• Coordinate, when necessary, facilities-related vendors, such as janitorial, pest control, moving, and inspection vendors for the elevators, fire sprinklers or generators.
• Coordinate with HVAC Supervisor and staff as it relates to temperature and equipment monitoring.
• Assist, with some instruction, in building or repairing cubicles and desks when required.
• Identify repairs and maintenance needs around the campus and present them to supervisor or higher for assignment.
• Work independently or with a team at the direction of Lead or higher.
• Receive and fulfill maintenance requests from employees.
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
• Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned
 
What You Contribute
• High School diploma with 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools, ability to work safely on a ladder
• Working knowledge of standard office tools required including MS Office, basic computer knowledge, etc.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, able to communicate with all employees, contractors, and suppliers
• Able to work independently and with a team
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload with an attention to detail
 
Working Conditions
General office, warehouse, cleanroom, and shipping/receiving environments. Willingness and ability to work on site. Potential exposure to chemicals and blood-borne pathogens Requires some lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to remain stationary and use a microscope, cleanroom or laboratory equipment, or other standard office equipment, for an extensive period of time each day. Will need to use a computer for email, trainings, procedures, etc. Schedule may vary to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
 
Base Pay Range Per Hour:  $23.00 - $38.00
Individual compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, work location and shift, and will increase over time based on meeting performance and business needs.
