As a Senior Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance and Data Analytics at Penumbra, you will play a critical role in determining the company's long term goals. You will primarily assist the Finance department in informing strategy and operational efficiencies through deep analytical insights and financial expertise. This role will be responsible for using financial analysis and data analytics to solve complex problems, support strategic decisions, and contribute to the growth of our organization.
 
What You’ll Work On
• Identify analytical and reporting requirements with a focus on streamlining data accessibility and increasing automation.
• Build and maintain scalable foundations for financial data analytics by safeguarding data pipelines and anticipating future needs to ensure the organization is well-positioned for growth.
• Collaborate with IT to develop, maintain, and enhance business intelligence (BI) tools and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and effective protocols for data management.
• Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic planning and forecasting efforts.
• Provide ad hoc support to executives and business leaders across a broad range of strategic initiatives.
• Understand Finance's data landscape and support the strategy to enhance data structures and drive cross-functional alignment on financial metrics.
 
What You Contribute
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, data science or related field with 3+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working with SQL, Tableau, SAP, Anaplan, Workiva and/or similar applications.
• Medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry experience desired
• Eagerness to dive deep into details while maintaining sight of the big picture.
• Advanced Excel skills with a passion for business intelligence and data analytics.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships.
• Positive self-starter attitude and desire to grow with the team and company.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously.

Working Conditions
General office environment. Willingness and ability to work on site. Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office. equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.

Annual Base Salary Range:  $120,000 - $160,000 / year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
