The primary focus of the Inside Sales Representative is to sell solutions and services to existing Percona customers and to prospect for new customers. As a first point of contact for relationship to Percona, the Inside Sales representative is the ambassador to the organization.

As an Inside Sales Representative you will sell to an assigned geographic territory to achieve objectives. You will liaise with a field sales representative for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, developing account penetration strategies, and closing business. Participates as a team member on teams including Field Sales, Solution Engineers, Customer Success Manager and Field Marketing Manager. The successful candidate is able to communicate effectively over the telephone with high level decision makers, can work independently and has a passion for technology sales. Additionally, this is a role for a person who can thrive in an environment that is continually growing and changing. Some travel will be required for internal meetings.
What You Will Do
- selling products and services in high volume, low value, short cycle transactions using telephone sales (inbound/outbound calls).
- Manage and close opportunities through accurate forecasting, account strategy, and planning
- Generate sales leads and increase pipeline through demand generation and targeted campaigns
- Collaborate with field sales representative for new business acquisition and territory quota achievement
- Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Percona products and technologies, competitors, industry trends
- Executive level discussions from VP to CXO and solution selling
- BS or BA degree
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles
- Track record of successful revenue attainment against quota
- Demonstrated knowledge of software sales
- Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with customers/prospects
- Aggressive, great attitude, strong organizational skills
- knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience in using SalesForce.com or other CRM
- Highly customer focused

- Ability to work remotely full-time

HQ is in Durham, NC USA. Staff members should be available if there is a need for any onsite trainings and/or events at any time.
