Position Summary:
We seek a highly skilled Senior Product Manager with infrastructure automation and configuration management expertise to join our dynamic team. As the Senior Product Manager, you will own the product vision of your area and drive the strategy, roadmap, and development of Puppet's cutting-edge automation solutions. You will partner with marketing, sales, sales engineers, and customers to drive Puppet's adoption in Asia–Pacific.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision, strategy, and goals for infrastructure automation and configuration management products
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis and gather customer feedback to inform product decisions and prioritize features
- Define and refine product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, focusing on technical accuracy and feasibility
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure alignment between product goals and technical implementation, guiding architecture and technology choices
- Drive the adoption of best practices in infrastructure automation, configuration management, and DevOps methodologies
- Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and iterate on features to continuously improve product value and user satisfaction
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. An MBA or equivalent master’s degree is a plus
- 5-8 years of experience in technical product management, with a strong focus on infrastructure automation and configuration management both in the data center and the cloud
- In-depth knowledge of tools and technologies like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of different flavors of Linux operating systems, like RedHat Enterprise Linux, Amazon Linux, and Ubuntu
- Knowledge of IT security scanning tools, standards, and benchmarks such as CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and DISA is a plus
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products in the infrastructure space
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
