Position Summary:
Perforce is looking for a Staff Accountant to work closely with the Accounting Supervisor and accounting team to assist in the day-to-day accounting responsibilities with a focus on payroll accounting. The candidate will be a key member of the accounting team that will be responsible for accurate and timely journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to use accounting knowledge and previous experience to add value and assist in meeting the department's objectives while working in a fast-paced, continually changing, and high-growth environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for compiling payroll information and posting into the general ledger across multiple subsidiaries
- Prepare and analyze bonus/commission calculations and entries
- Analyze payroll data and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Assist with the monthly financial close by recording journal entries, preparing account reconciliations and maintaining accurate supporting analysis and documentation
- Cross train with and provide back up to other accounting staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1-2 years of accounting experience in a professional environment
- An intermediate skill level with MS Office applications (Excel/Word) required and NetSuite experience preferred
- Strong understanding of how the general ledger and sub-ledger works and a knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines and produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
$62,000 - $72,400 a year
This position will be eligible for the Annual Bonus Plan.
