Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A will be responsible for providing support, analysis, & planning for the Sales and Marketing Functions. The Financial Analyst will work closely with senior management & business partners to analyze overall operational performance. This will be a key position in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) group and will be responsible for producing accurate financial information while meeting all reporting deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Report monthly financial results and provide variance analysis as compared to the budget and prior periods for our Sales & Marketing Functions.
- Coordinate and understand accrual requirements and journal entries needed for Sales and Marketing department activity.
- Deliver periodic cost reviews with business partners including variance analysis and strategic planning as organization grows.
- Partner with business leaders and accounting to support new cost control initiatives from the planning stage through invoicing actuals and tracking to plan.
- Provide senior management with the financial information necessary to make strategic business decisions.
- Prepare annual cost center budget and monthly forecasts.
- Play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the financial accounting and reporting system.
- Implement process and system improvements as needed and ensure that all financial reporting is consistent with GAAP and Company accounting policies.
- Develop, implement, and document appropriate control procedures over financial reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with two or more years of experience at financial analyst level or higher.
- Experience using Adaptive a plus
- Prior budgeting experience a plus
- Strong analytical, verbal, written, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Operational experience using any of the major accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, GreatPlains etc.
- Possess a working knowledge of GAAP and the ability to interpret and implement new GAAP guidance.
- Experience in documenting and improving existing systems and processes.
$90,800 - $105,000 a year
