Position Summary:
As the PMM for the Puppet SaaS solution, you will be instrumental in crafting compelling go-to-market strategies, positioning, messaging, and content that drives user acquisition, engagement, and expansion. This role will focus on both pre- and post-launch initiatives, including PLG-driven campaigns, competitive analysis, voice of customer programs, sales enablement, and demand generation.
You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Sales to ensure Puppet’s SaaS solution resonates with modern Cloud Ops teams and DevOps professionals. This is a highly cross-functional and high-impact role, ideal for a creative and analytical marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment inside an established and growing company.
Responsibilities:
- Launch: Own the go-to-market plan and execution for the new Puppet SaaS solution—from beta to general availability—partnering with Product, Marketing, and DevRel teams.
- PLG Strategy & Support: Drive adoption through PLG-aligned tactics such as onboarding flows, lifecycle messaging, in-app communication, and free-to-paid conversion initiatives.
- Messaging & Positioning: Develop differentiated messaging for technical practitioners, DevOps leaders, and C-level buyers. Communicate the value with clarity and impact.
- Content Creation: Produce product narratives, messaging frameworks, solution briefs, website copy, and demo scripts.
- Voice of Customer: Engage with users to collect feedback, foster champions, and create referenceable success stories.
- Sales Enablement: Equip sales with competitive tools, battlecards, pitch decks, and objection-handling guides.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Stay ahead of cloud infrastructure and operations trends, understand competitor offerings, and identify differentiation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with demand gen, content, and digital marketing to run integrated campaigns, thought leadership, and webinars.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise software product marketing, ideally with SaaS and/or PLG business models.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead product launches or key cross-functional marketing initiatives.
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, DevOps, or infrastructure automation is strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to tailor content to technical and business audiences.
- Data-driven mindset with a passion for experimentation, iteration, and growth metrics.
- Highly collaborative and proactive, comfortable with ambiguity and able to “figure it out” with minimal oversight.
- Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Pendo, Drift, Jasper AI, Marketo, Salesforce, etc.) a plus.
Why You’ll Love Working Here:
- Work on a product that helps DevOps teams solve real challenges in complex cloud environments.
- Join a forward-thinking team within a profitable and growing tech company.
- Collaborate with top talent across engineering, product, and GTM functions.
- Enjoy a culture that values creativity, transparency, ownership, and results.
