Perr&Knight, a professional insurance consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Accountant. The Accountant will assist the CFO with both day-to-day tasks and special projects to accomplish the organization's business objectives. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, have the ability to multi-task and provide professional expertise as needed.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assisting with the preparation of data for local, state, and federal tax returns to be submitted within specified tax deadlines.
- Assisting in the maintenance and preparation of tax-related financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts.
- Conducting financial analysis to identify potential deductions and credits.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws, regulations, and financial concepts.
- Providing direction and guidance to other members of the Finance team as needed.
- Completing special projects as required.
- Any other duties as assigned by the CFO.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Finance related field
- At least five years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of corporate taxes required, small to mid-market business tax preparation experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, with expert level skills in Excel
- A CPA license or Enrolled Agent preferred but not required
- The ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities, multiple entities and time pressures
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, teamwork skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with pass-through entity taxes or non-resident taxes for S-corporations a plus
- Experience in Deltek a plus
- Experience in reporting and analysis preparation
$90,000 - $110,000 a year
