About the Role
Sales Engineering is a team of subject matter experts who serve as the trusted technical advisor to prospective customers. You will lead prospects through their Identity Management revolution by connecting their needs to Persona's value in order to win new customers and drive revenue growth. You will deliver best in class product demonstrations and use your learnings to help us build better and more dynamic demos.

Internally, your insights from the field will help shape our product roadmap and will pave the way for future customers, ensuring you play a key role in our commitment to customer excellence and allowing Persona to stay ahead of market trends.

The SE team is a high visibility and high impact team. It's a great role for someone who enjoys learning the intricacies of a product to drive value to prospects, leading through innovative problem-solving, and doing whatever it takes to convert prospects into customers. Variety, ambiguity, innovation, and ownership of complex problems are all big components of this role.

What you'll achieve

    • Own the demo environments from idea to reality: build and own applications that illustrate the power of the Persona platform.
    • Craft and deliver dynamic product demonstrations.
    • Serve as the primary technical POC who brings thought leadership to our prospective customers.
    • Help to close deals and drive new revenue.
    • Play a critical role in defining our technical sales strategy and develop collateral to help scale the sales organization.
    • Engage with Product and Engineering teams to incorporate and prioritize customer feedback, and help inform the roadmap.

What you'll bring to Persona

    • 5+ years of work experience in a technical customer-facing role (e.g. sales engineering, solutions engineering, demo engineer, solutions architect, implementations engineer, solutions consultant).
    • You have a proven track record of leading prospect demonstration and POCs.
    • Experience with APIs, a strong understanding of JSON, and proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Go, or Java. Bonus points for knowledge of web development principles and/or the ability to build internal tools using one of these languages.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts to technical and non-technical personas.
    • You’re an action-oriented and organized self-starter who isn’t afraid to get scrappy to solve customer issues – you have a strong work ethic and are committed to excellence.
Compensation & Equity
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $130,000 - $150,000. Base salaries are just one component of the total compensation package and are determined by a number of factors such as years of experience, expertise, qualifications and more. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive equity packages that play a big part in recognizing you for the huge impact you will have on helping us achieve our mission. Please note, the salary range is a guideline that is subject to change without notice.
