Family Pet Hospital in Edmond, OK, (north of Oklahoma City) is seeking a Veterinary Medical Director for our practice that strives to provide professional, timely attention to every animal that comes through our doors. We are committed to delivering high-quality medical services while promoting a culture of compassion and authenticity. We cultivate attractive working environments for each hospital staff member, making sure they have the resources to give every pet proper attention and keep clients well-informed.

The Veterinary Medical Director will be a driver of hospital practice and team, focusing on building outstanding customer experience. You will take pride in offering unmatched compassionate care, ensuring our communication with our clients is clear and understood. You will act as a leader in supporting all other medical personnel, including veterinary technicians and assistants, and will guide as a mentor to develop the clinical staff. This role will require confidence and proficiency in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.

Family Pet Hospital offers digital dental x-rays, therapeutic laser therapy, and tonometry. The practice sees a wide range of cases, from wellness visits to sophisticated workups. There is an opportunity to expand services that includes ultrasound, acupuncture, and exotic pets.

    • 4+ years of experience.
    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD from an AVMA accredited institution.
    • DEA licensure is preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language.
    • Must have enthusiasm for continued learning and improvement, and a proactive approach.
    • Ability to work some Saturdays.
