About The Team
Workplace Technology is responsible for providing the technology that our people (PEXArians) use day-to-day in doing their work. This includes service desk, end-user and office technology devices, software applications, communications network and technology infrastructure services. Our people are our customers.

About The Role
The ServiceNow Configuration and Knowledge Manager has the overall responsibility to own, develop and promote the Configuration and Knowledge Management processes, and to define standards and policies to capture and maintain information about configuration items required to deliver IT services. This role will be key to maturing the Workplace Technology capabilities needed to address business challenges.

Key Accountabilities

    • Define standards and policies for Configuration and Knowledge Management
    • Maintain a logical model (Configuration Management Database) containing information of the IT infrastructure (Configuration Items) required for delivering IT services, including their relationships
    • Own the ongoing operation and administration of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
    • Develop training materials
    • Ensure that the organisation is able to gather, analyse, store and share knowledge and information
    • Ensure that the organisation is suitably trained to operate the Configuration and Knowledge Management processes
    • Perform periodic configuration audits to ensure accuracy of Configuration Items (CIs) associated with delivery of services from a cost/efficiency perspective and that opportunities for consolidation/decommission are identified and tracked
    • Support internal and external audit exercises. Ensure adherence to compliance, audit and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO27001, CPS234)

Skills and Experience

    • Must have at least 5 years experience in Configuration Management
    • Must have at least 3 years experience with ServiceNow
    • Must have at least 3 years experience with ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
    • Must have at least 2 years experience with ServiceNow Knowledge Management
    • Must have at least 2 years of experience with ServiceNow Discovery
    • Must have experience in designing schema for structuring configuration data
    • Must have experience in project planning and status tracking
    • Must have strong communication skills: listening and understanding; verbal and written communication
    • Must have demonstrated capability in working collaboratively across teams
    • Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • ITIL V4 foundation certification and demonstrated knowledge of and experience with a broad range of all ITIL and related processes
    • Knowledge of Signavio is advantageous
