Phoenix Paramedic Solutions is looking for a high-quality candidate for Valley Oaks Health brand new Crisis Stabilization Unit, The Haven. You will be working alongside the Valley Oaks Health Clinical Team and/or a Phoenix Crisis Peer Specialist. Candidate should be a Paramedic or RN.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform all essential functions of your State Paramedic/Nurse Certification, including but not limited to pre-hospital assessments (drug screenings, mental health evaluations, etc.)  
    • Work with clients and our primary care and behavioral health clinicians to assess the level of intervention needed and address barriers to successful, long-term care.  
    • Provide crisis management, including but not limited to crisis assessment planning, individualized crisis safety plans, and de-escalation tactics.  
    • Understand and perform care escalation as needed.  
    • Keep equipment clean and in status-ready condition.  
    • Must have the ability and willingness to accept direction and interact with law enforcement, hospital staff, and all other professionals in the utmost respectful manner 
    • Reporting of findings during treatment to appropriate facility staff in a timely manner 
    • Documentation of all calls you are assigned during a shift in a timely manner 
    • Knowledge of and performance of all Blood Borne Pathogen standards 
    • Cover On-call shifts on a regular weekly basis.   
    • Respond as part of the QRT team for Tippecanoe, Jasper, and White Counties 
    • Work alongside the Valley Oaks Health clinical care team and Peer Recovery Specialists  
    • Traditional Ambulance Transports as part of the Crisis and 988 responses.

Required to begin training:

    • High school diploma/GED. College preferred.  
    • Paramedic certification, or License as a Nurse.  Depending on your states requirements a National Registry certification may be an acceptable substitute.  
    • ACLS 
    • PALS 
    • BLS or AHA CPR Certification 
    • Ability to pass background check 
    • State Driver’s License 
    • Ability to pass vehicle insurance chec

Training Required On Job:

    •  
    • Drug screen Chain of Custody Company Certification. 
    • Portable Breath Testing Company Certification 
    • BBP Training (Annual)  
    • COWS assessment, DEA standards and policies, and pharmacology to include medications commonly used for MAT 
    • DOT Drug screen collector 
    • CIT 
    • QPR 

Con-Ed Req:

    • Maintain Paramedic/Nurse or other Certification or License- Varying hours depending on Certification/License (34 Hrs. Minimum CEU plus 6 Hrs. Audit and Review Bi-annually) 
    • Maintain Current CPR Certification (2 Hrs. bi-annually) 
    • BBP Yearly (1 Hr. Annually) 
    • Various Meetings discussing updates to services offered 

$25 - $30 an hour
Entrance base rate, based on experience:  
·       $25/hr to $30/hr 
·       $85,000 to $102,000 annually  
·       Includes built-in overtime
