PhotoRoom develops cutting-edge technology that empowers entrepreneurs, small businesses, and merchants to easily create images that sell - leveraging deep learning. Our ambition: power the internet’s commerce images.

Our first consumer product, the PhotoRoom app, is already a leader in mobile photo editing: we serve 10M+ users across more than 180 countries monthly, and our app was awarded the Best App of 2021 by Android and named Editor’s Choice by Apple. We recently launched our second product, the API, allowing us to deploy our tech at scale through a b-to-b motion.

We are at an exciting stage of our journey, having successfully raised our Series A and looking to scale to $100M ARR in the next couple of years.
Our company is profitable, and our lean team is made of world-class experts in deep learning, product, and marketing with backgrounds at Apple, Algolia, or Google. We are a diverse team of entrepreneurs building for entrepreneurs.


    • 🤓 About the Role: We are looking for our Head of People to lead the Talent & Workplace initiatives. The plan is to double the team, but to take the time we need to find the very best talent.
    • 💰 [95-120k]* + Stock-Options/BSPCE
    • 🇪🇺 We are flexible: you can work from anywhere in Europe, come once a month to Paris (fully reimbursed), or come to the office more often.
    • ✈️ We offer substantial support for relocation (10k€ signing bonus), including finding an apartment in Paris and supporting you with the visa procedure.

    • 🇬🇧 PhotoRoom is an international team and we work in English. We offer language lessons for those who need them (English & French).

    • PhotoRoom is looking for a Head of People to lead initiatives to attract, hire, onboard, and develop the best talent in Europe.
    • A Talent & Workplace team of 3 people is already in place, and building and developing this team will be your priority.

    • Company-wide impact
    • Leadership: As part of the Leadership team, you take part in the strategy definition and business goals. You know how to adapt those goals to People Operations.
    • Inclusion and Diversity: Every program you lead helps us to build and grow a diverse and inclusive team by design.
    • Culture: You embody PhotoRoom's values and build programs that reinforce and nurture our culture.
    • Coaching: You are an active listener, able to coach leaders and team members toward progress.

    • HR, Recruiting, and Workplace Leader
    • Prioritization and anticipation: You define and lead high-impact HR & workplace projects for PhotoRoom. You can prioritize, plan and execute projects with other stakeholders on board.
    • Hiring: Working closely with recruiters, you constantly improve our hiring workflow, interview guidelines, and decision-making processes from sourcing to closing. Your initiatives make us more efficient in hiring top talent, and guarantee a great candidate experience.
    • Employer Branding: You lead initiatives for PhotoRoom to be known and loved by our key audience among potential candidates.
    • Technical knowledge: You know your basics about Employment Law and admin, preferably French Labour Law. More importantly, you know how and when to get support to make decisions without putting the company at risk.
    • Management: You lead by example, define ambitious goals for the Talent & Workplace team, and remove obstacles for them when needed. You get your hands dirty when needed and work as an individual contributor to ship key projects.
    • Strength: You rely on your skillset on a critical topic (recruiting, project management, people operations, brand, and communications) and are willing to broader your scope and impact.

✨ Requirements ✨

    • Fluency in English
    • Successful experience as a leader in HR or other fields, or a former Founder
    • Less than 2 hour's time difference from UTC+1

    • Screening call with the current part-time Head of People
    • Home technical assignment, followed by a review with the CEO and a recruiter
