About this Role:

Pickle Robot is on the hunt for a smart, motivated DevOps engineer to join our team. Our DevOps Engineer will work across all levels of our technical organization to ensure a reliable, scalable, and efficient development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a seasoned DevOps Engineer with a track record of innovation, cross-team collaboration, and independence.

Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Design, build, and maintain cost-effective and scalable cloud infrastructure.
    • Design, build, and maintain data pipeline to capture logs and telemetry from robots.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
    • Work cross-functionally with our software engineering, hardware and deployment teams to ensure our robots are operationally ready to serve our customers.
    • Maintain scripts to bootstrap laptops, servers, and robot controllers.
    • Manage software repositories, builds, releases, and deployments.
    • Collaborate with IT on network and device security.
    • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support.

Desired Qualifications:

    • 4-6+ years DevOps experience, ideally at a technology-focused company.
    • 4+ years working with a cloud infrastructure platform (GCP (preferred), AWS, Azure).
    • Experience with a DevOps toolset (Docker, GitHub, Terraform, Ansible).
    • Strong knowledge of programming languages, including Python.
    • Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS).
    • Experience managing a fleet of robotic (or IoT) devices.
    • Excellent troubleshooting, interpersonal, and technical communication skills.
    • A strong sense of urgency, with a willingness to help colleagues and customers in their time of need.
    • Candidates with previous experience at a robotics company jump to the head of the line.
