The opportunity

Pigment has structured its Internal IT department with a Head of Internal IT reporting to the CISO and a Junior IT technician. The IT team is now expanding to support over 300 end users with a very fast-paced growth in 2024.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Operations to join our dynamic IT team. You will play a key role in day-to-day IT operations, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the seamless functioning of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation and scripting, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The breadth of scope will allow Pigment to tailor this role according to the candidate’s existing experience and areas of interest. 

This role has two main components:
- The first component is about taking part in the IT team’s daily operations and transformation projects, and understanding the work that needs to be automated : identifying time consuming tasks, understanding the business needs and the exceptions that need to be taken into account.
- The second component will be about designing and maintaining automation workflows to automate these tasks in order to increase the efficiency of the IT team. 
The relative importance of these components may vary over time, the team’s workload profile, and the candidates abilities.


Responsibilities

Scripting and Automation

- Leverage programming skills to automate routine IT operational tasks, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual workload. This may include automating SaaS operation via APIs, or writing scripts and programs to be ran on corporate workstations (MacOs, Windows).
- Liaise with stakeholders to process being automated to capture the needs and constraints under which to operate. These teams can include IT, Security, HR, Legal, Sales, or Engineering.
- Document, test, monitor, and maintain automation code to ensure quality and fitness to purpose over time.


Technical Support And Ticketing Tool Ownership

- Provide level 2/3 technical support to resolve complex IT issues and serve as an escalation point for the IT support technician.
- Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve system-related problems.
- Take ownership of the ticketing tool (Zendesk), ensuring accurate and timely ticket resolution.
- Develop and maintain ticketing system workflows and configurations to optimize efficiency.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT operations.
- Generate regular reports on key metrics, including incident resolution times, system performance, and user satisfaction.


IT Operations Management

- Participate in daily IT operations, ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of the IT infrastructure under the supervision of the Head of IT.
- Work closely with the Head of IT to develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Oversee on/offboarding of employees to match our security certification requirements.
- Saas Tool Administration.
- Provide technical mentorship to the IT Support Technician and help him develop his technical skills (automations, scripting, etc.).


IT Transformation and Change Project

- Participate in change and improvement projects for the IT department.
- Projects for the development of our IT department: Tool Migrations, Reorganization of user policies and structures, internal tool reviews, and optimizations.
- Service reliability of the IT department and automation of daily tasks.
- Capacity to plan and deliver projects on time and budget.


IT Asset Management, Logistics, and Inventory

- Participate in the inventory of all IT assets, ensuring accurate records and compliance.
- Optimize asset utilization, track warranty information, and conduct regular audits.
- Implement and improve asset management processes for cost-effectiveness and alignment with business goals.
- Proactively address potential issues in asset management and logistics.
- Play a key role in the lifecycle management of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal.
- We are currently acquiring an IT asset inventory/logistics tool.


Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Powershell, Bash) for automation of workstation administration.
- Proficiency in programming (preferably Python) for SaaS automation tasks via APIs.
- Previous experience in IT operations management, with a focus on technical support and incident resolution.
- Experience with IT ticket intake management and a track record of effective ownership of resolution workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. (English required, French is a plus)

€50,000 - €65,000 a year
