About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager specializing in database migration, you will play a critical role in developing products and services to facilitate seamless migration from existing database systems to TiDB and TiDB Cloud DBaaS. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define product strategy, gather user feedback, and oversee the design and implementation of migration tools and solutions. This role requires a proactive individual with experience in database migrations or enterprise-level migration projects, strong technical acumen, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

    • Lead the development of products and services for database migrations to TiDB and TiDB Cloud DBaaS, collaborating with engineering, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
    • Define and prioritize features and enhancements for migration tools and solutions based on customer feedback, market trends, and competitive analysis.
    • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation and release of migration features, adhering to quality standards and delivery timelines.
    • Establish best practices and guidelines for database migration processes, documentation, and training materials to support customers throughout their migration journey.

Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on developing products and services for database migrations or enterprise-level migration projects.
    • Experience working with database migration tools, technologies, and methodologies.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
    • Proven track record of driving product innovation, delivering customer value, and achieving business results.
$150,000 - $200,000 a year
The annual anticipated base salary range for U.S. candidates for this role is USD 150K to $200K. The actual individual base pay will depend on various factors such as the complexity and responsibility of the role, work locations, job levels, and relevant experience and skills. This role is also eligible to participate in PingCAP's Bonus and Equity Plan, as well as our Sales Compensation Plan if it is a sales role. In order to comply with local legislation and provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges on all US job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Please note that actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies. Other benefits include health insurance, flexible vacation time, paid holidays, and parental leave. Salaries for candidates outside the U.S. will vary based on local compensation structures.
