Responsibilities

    • Help developers to use TiDB, TiDB Cloud and relevant PingCAP products.
    • You will participate in building the developer community, including creating interesting demos based on TiDB and compelling content.
    • Give creative talks online or in-person at webinars, meetups and conferences that are hosted by PingCAP or other relevant communities.
    • Assist developers by interacting on TiDB Community Slack, Forum, Stack Overflow, Github or places where they come for help.
    • Working on integration of TiDB and projects in ecosystem, and writing relevant blogs and documents.

Qualifications

    • 5-8 years of experience as a software developer in the database or open source markets.
    • Create interesting and attractive technical blog posts.
    • Ability to write excellent code samples and demos in order to introduce our technology to the community.
    • Communicating with internal engineers and product managers to improve developer experiences and bring feedback from the developer community.
    • A background in distributed systems, traditional relational databases (MySQL,PostgreSQL), NewSQL or even HTAP systems.
    • Enjoyment in helping developers to overcome roadblocks of adopting TiDB.
    • Have experience with or aspiring to be a tech YouTuber.
$105,000 - $200,000 a year
The annual anticipated base salary range for U.S. candidates for this role is USD $105K to $200K. The actual individual base pay will depend on various factors such as the complexity and responsibility of the role, work locations, job levels, and relevant experience and skills. This role is also eligible to participate in PingCAP's Bonus and Equity Plan, as well as our Sales Compensation Plan if it is a sales role. In order to comply with local legislation and provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges on all US job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Please note that actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies. Other benefits include health insurance, flexible vacation time, paid holidays, and parental leave. Salaries for candidates outside the U.S. will vary based on local compensation structures.
