Description

PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audio-Visual Fabrication Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support the fabrication team in designing, building, and testing custom audio-visual solutions for a variety of projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in AV fabrication and engineering, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to the success of exciting projects.

Required Clearance: Secret
Required Education: HSD or GED, AVIXA CTS or similar.
Required Experience: Two+ (2+) years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

· Set up-operate audiovisual equipment for events; perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment; troubleshoot malfunctions.
· Assist senior engineers and technicians in the fabrication and assembly of custom audio-visual systems, components, and prototypes.
· Follow fabrication plans, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate and high-quality fabrication work.
· Participate in the development and testing of prototypes for new audio-visual systems and components.
· Help build and assemble prototype models, perform initial testing and evaluation, and provide feedback on design and performance.
· Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job learning opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in AV fabrication and engineering.

Requirements

· 2+ years’ experience or coursework in fabrication, manufacturing, or engineering is preferred.
· Basic understanding of fabrication techniques, tools, and materials used in audio-visual systems integration.
· Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for technical drawings and design documentation is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate with colleagues, and communicate ideas and findings.
Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in AV fabrication and engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

Assoc or Tech degree preferred (not required)
