Description: PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. As Database Engineer, will play a key role in developing and maintaining databases, writing and optimizing SQL queries, and supporting database-related applications and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database concepts, programming skills, and analytical.

Location:  Fort Knox centric (REMOTE)
Required Clearance: TS
Required Education: Bachelor’ s Degree in relevant field
Required Experience: Three+ (3+) years of relevant experience

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement database solutions to meet business requirements using appropriate database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
Write and optimize SQL queries for performance, efficiency, and data accuracy. Analyze query execution plans and make recommendations for improvements.
Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, index maintenance, and data cleanup.
Design and implement logical and physical data models to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability.
Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple sources into the database.
Provide technical support for database-related applications and systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to resolve problems.
·        Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve performance and scalability.
 
Requirements:
Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing, to ensure data confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including database schemas, data dictionaries, and process workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and system administrators, to understand requirements, implement solutions, and support business objectives.
Proficiency in SQL programming and database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, Toad Data Modeler) is a plus.
Familiarity with ETL tools and techniques (e.g., SSIS, Informatica) is preferred.
 
 
Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CEH, Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
