At Partners in Performance, the Partner is our client-facing leader combining delivery, sales, and people development.  The role is critical, central, and wide-ranging in nature.
 
Candidate background
To be considered for this role, candidates will have come up through the ranks of a top consulting firm and have significant experience in operations improvement. Ideally, this consulting background would be complemented by a managerial role in an industrial company with line experience.
 
Furthermore, the above-mentioned experience should be coupled with a thorough understanding of the local business and cultural realities, pronounced leadership skills, and an excellent communicator. The candidate should have a result orientation and a strong focus on making change happen.
 
·        Excellent academic results University degree or equivalent experience with a strong emphasis on quantitative skills
·        Double degrees and Postgraduate degrees are highly regarded in our firm
·        MBA would be an advantage
·        At least 6-8 years of consulting experience where you have also led performance improvement.
·        Or alternatively at least 6-8 years of experience in senior operation roles, with exposure to performance improvement ideally in mining/resources/heavy industry.
 
Purpose and responsibilities of the Partner role
The purpose of the Partner role is to accomplish the following core objectives:
 
Assist with the delivery of the measurable improvements (Ideas)
Implement the processes and systems that will sustain ongoing improvements in the future (Wiring)
Develop business improvement capabilities through extensive coaching and mentoring (Skills)
 
As you grow in the role, you could be asked to sell new engagements and continue work to build a sustainable pipeline of engagements, in line with the selling targets.
 
The role is designed for a well-networked individual, who really enjoys delivering value. Furthermore, someone who can work independently and in a team. The candidate would have the charisma and confidence (with a solid business background) to get in front of General Managers and ‘C-Level’ Execs and to be able to relate to their business issues, particularly at an Operational level.
