Partners in Performance is a global management consulting firm that works hand-in-hand with our clients to deliver lasting results in business performance. Our firm has real scale and a demonstrated track record with reach across Australia and New Zealand, Africa, North and South America, the UK and Europe. As a Firm, we are about Unleashing Potential in our clients and our people.
Position Summary
We’re looking for a confident, adaptable, and collaborative Marketing & Communications Manager to step into a 12-month maternity cover role – someone who thrives in ambiguity, leads with initiative, and brings clarity and calm through change.
You’ll play a central role in shaping both internal and external communications during a complex period of post-merger integration. There is potential to lead and coach colleagues depending on your delivery in the role and previous profile, but this is not an expectation from day one.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a strategic thinker and hands-on doer, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and execute with pace and discipline. You’ll work independently and with your UK based manager, other senior stakeholders and collaborate across time zones, so comfort with autonomy, managing shifting goals, transparent focused communication and fast decision-making are critical.
This is a role for someone who builds trust quickly, communicates with care, and can rally people through change. You’ll be measured by outcomes (not intentions) and work alongside and supported by an experienced team that values clarity, creativity, and mutual respect.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive internal communications throughout post-merger integration
Own and deliver communications that keep our people informed, engaged, and connected during change. This includes writing clear messaging, supporting leaders, aligning with global counterparts, and managing key internal platforms. This overall strategy will be delivered in collaboration with steering from a senior leader with overall responsibility.
2. Shape and execute firm-wide communications and marketing
Lead and refine our communications strategy across internal, external, and digital channels – including content marketing, social media, and campaigns amongst a multitude of other initiatives.
3. Support brand and media initiatives in ANZ
Manage brand visibility and public relations across Australia and New Zealand, including agency coordination, media opportunities, and alignment with global brand direction. This will be delivered in collaboration with a Managing Director providing steering.
4. Contribute to ongoing strategy and co-design work
Support the Head of Marketing and collaborate across teams on new ways of working that blend the best of our firm and our new parent company.
5. Deliver working closely with the global Marketing Team
Collaborate and build a strong working model with the global Marketing Team (and counterparts within our parent company), quickly understanding where to ask and offer support. Develop a robust network of contacts who help you deliver.

Brings sharp attention to detail in both visuals and writing, with strong experience editing content to a print or digital ready standard.
Displays excellent judgement when working with senior roles, able to translate steering into concrete actions balancing competing priorities.
Operates confidently within typical Marketing digital toolkit from basic to specialised: e.g. Microsoft Office, InDesign, and CMS tools; familiarity with WordPress or Hubspot is an advantage.
