Purpose and responsibilities of the role
The Marketing Copywriter/Editor works with the broader Sales and Marketing team to deliver premium quality marketing and sales   collateral fully aligned to our brand. The role involves delivering a wide   variety of written collateral across digital and offline media. To be   successful in this position, you will be a self-starter, capable of working   under pressure, delivering brilliant creative ideas and showing amazing attention to detail.

This role will appeal to a self-motivated, results-driven individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. You will   need a strong customer service attitude as the team liaises with all of Partners in Performance’s consultants and Directors  – with a view of always ‘being there to help’.  You will also be expected to consistently look at ways to enhance/improve existing copy and storytelling to truly bring our brand to life in an effective and powerful manner, as well as pursuing innovation and supporting processes to enhance quality and delivery of end-products.
 
Key Activities
You will thoroughly understand our brand, be immersed in it and act as a ‘brand warrior’ for our voice across the firm.  Key activities include, but not limited to:
·       The ability to communicate our brand well, including:
―        Sense-check all content to ensure it aligns with our brand proposition and values,  pre-empting any issues that could be misconstrued or potentially damage our brand
―        Draft attention-grabbing headlines and subheads for articles and ensure articles, newsletters and fliers are written in accordance with the style guide.
―        Employ excellent grammar, spelling and formatting skills to support Quality Assurance  initiatives on all Marketing and Sales collateral produced
―        Ensure names, places and organizations are spelled properly and that facts, dates and statistics are accurate.
―        Work closely with Marketing communications team and key consultant stakeholders,  suggesting changes to enhance written communications readability, conciseness and style.
―        Support Marketing communication team as needed with research topics and locate and contact sources throughout the development of written content
·       Handle day-to-day editorial requests for the global team. Typical tasks would include quality assurance of materials, optimising content of PowerPoint presentations, supporting creation and editing  internal and external communications
·       Support innovative projects and initiatives
·       Manage several projects at a time on tight deadlines whilst maintaining immaculate attention to detail
·       Provide creative guidance and educating colleagues on the Partners in Performance copy brand guidelines and tone of voice
·       Collaborate with senior graphic design artist, branding experts, consultants and marketing managers to optimise copy and content of existing and new collateral

·       Consistent delivery of high-quality end products aligned to our premium brand requirements
·       Efficient follow up – nothing falling through the  cracks, fully understanding customer needs/expectations
·       Ability to work on multiple tasks, and deliver on time in a low fuss manner
·       Deliver mistake-free internal and external   communications – show a high level of attention to detail and pride in completing tasks well
·       Ability to work openly and efficiently with all colleagues across the global firm to complete tasks, and to upward manage in an efficient and friendly manner
·       Be a great team player and communicate well on tasks completed and those you need support on
·       Ensuring our marketing / branding collateral is audited and up to-date
·       Monthly updates to materials conducted efficiently and on time
·       Continuous improvement of copy, and supporting systems and processes
·       All requests responded to in a timely and responsive manner
 
Candidate Background
You will be given significant opportunities to make your mark on the firm, responsible for   ensuring all firm communications are aligned to premium brand communication style and optimised for impact. This includes checking over writers' final  to ensure they're free of errors across newsletters, fliers, articles, emails, proposals, client documents, internal communications, etc, as well as   supporting the development of copy to support and enhance our brand ‘voice.’

This is a busy role, one where you’ll have a lot of moving pieces and priorities to juggle.  You’ll be supporting the business globally, leveraging relationships and communicating daily to your global colleagues. To do this, you will need the  following experience:
 
·         Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field, ideally with 3+ years’ experience brand copywriting/editing, ideally in B2B professional service environment
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including  demonstrable experience in creating, sourcing and editing a wide range of engaging content
·         An extremely high attention to detail for both visuals and wordsmithing, with experience in editing content and developing to the point of it being print/website ready
·         Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines
·         A meticulous approach to your work and an eye for detail
·         Ability to build strong working relationships across a global firm, including the skill to influence colleagues
·         Strong interview skills to draw out key insight from our subject matter experts to help build our brand as thought leaders in our core lines of business (ability to dig deep to uncover our differentiated points of view   / getting the core ‘so what’ of our thinking)
·         A passion for keeping abreast of trends in content and style to be reflected across both social media outlets, as well as sales and marketing collateral  – we want (and need) you to be the go-to person within the firm for strong, insightful content
·         A passion for growth, innovation and continuous improvement
·         A data-driven mindset to constantly test and ensure our content efforts are driving results
·        High level of experience in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office - Intermediate user of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook essential
·         Experience working in writing for a strategy house consultancy is highly preferred
