The EH&S Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs that ensure a safe and compliant workplace. This role partners with operations, leadership, and employees to promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

    • Help create and implement safety plans while ensuring that they are being followed daily.
    • Conduct safety observations, audits, and inspections on a regular basis.
    • Participate in all onsite evolutions that require ERT participation. 
    • Some local travel to field locations to oversee field exercises. 
    • Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation.
    • Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and chemicals, with protective equipment provided as needed.
    • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
    • Regular walking, bending, and moving about the facility to supervise work conditions and interact with staff.
    • Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds.
    • Must be able to wear the necessary PPE for prolonged periods when required.  (respirator, safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, etc.)

Qualifications

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience working within an EHS team and/or program. 
    • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
    • Knowledge and understanding of workplace safety and health programs.
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required.
    • Manufacturing environment experience.
    • Experience managing specific company projects or onsite vendors to ensure both are preplanned and are completed while meeting all EH&S goals. 
    • Experience providing recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.
    • Conduct or assist in safety training for coworkers.
    • Participated in investigating accidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes of the accident and provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.

$31 - $37 an hour
Applicants must be eligible for employment in the United States and willing to work onsite at our HQ office in Palo Alto, CA.
