The impact you'll have
As a the Director, Technology Project Management and Operations, your primary role at Placemakr who is experienced independent problem solver, project manager and people manager with a broad understanding of technology. They will lead a technology team that ensures our property and our non-property teams have the technology stack that it needs to succeed. The candidate should be familiar with budgetary process and feel comfortable preparing budgets for both project work and ongoing operations. The candidate should be comfortable taking high level direction and translating that into a detailed, executable plan, and then executing on that plan with their team. The candidate should also have the ability to manage multiple projects at simultaneously.
What You'll Do
- Project Management:
- Leading project management efforts across multiple property setups, ensuring all vendors and systems are integrated and operational within project timelines.
- Using project management tools and methodologies to track progress, manage resources, and mitigate risks.
- Allocating team’s resources to meet timelines and budgets.
- New Property Setup:
- SaaS System Implementations and Configurations:
- Implementation of our standard Software as a Service (SaaS) systems stack for new properties that we are onboarding onto the Placemakr Platform.
- Administration, management and support of our SaaS systems.
- Management of SaaS vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with service agreements.
- Onsite Hardware and Software Implementation
- Determine the best suite of products to use in a property with focus on networking system (WiFi, IOT, APs, routers, etc.), A/V and access control systems.
- Work with vendors to design, bid and implement these solutions.
- Vendor Selection and Management:
- Corporate IT: Selecting and managing vendors that provide IT services and support for corporate operations.
- Property IT: Overseeing vendors that handle IT infrastructure and services specific to Placemakr properties.
- Network Infrastructure: Managing vendors responsible for setting up and maintaining network systems, ensuring robust and reliable connectivity.
- AV/In-Room Entertainment and Public Area AV Systems: Selecting and managing vendors that provide audio-visual solutions for both in-room entertainment and public areas within properties.
- Access Control: Managing vendors that supply and maintain access control systems, ensuring secure entry to properties.
- CCTV Systems: Overseeing the selection and management of vendors providing surveillance and security camera systems.
- Procurement of IT hardware and software for corporate and property operations
- IT Administration
- Overseeing the administration of IT systems across the organization, ensuring smooth and secure operation of all IT services.
- IT Support Functions:
- Help Desk Management: Overseeing IT help desk operations to ensure timely and effective support for both corporate and property staff. This includes managing the help desk team, setting service level agreements (SLAs), and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Technical Support: Providing guidance and support for technical issues, troubleshooting problems, and coordinating with vendors for more complex issues.
- User Training and Support: Developing and implementing training programs to help staff effectively use IT systems and tools.
What it Takes
- 5 years experience with SaaS project implementations and vendor management
- Experience delivering large-scale projects in AV and Networking
- Prior experience budgeting a project through planning and implementation
- Knowledge of obtaining vendor quotes for AV, Networking, and Access Control systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Admin
- 3 years experience managing external enterprise help desk
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to translate high level objectives into a tactical execution plan
