The Customer Growth and Experience (CGX) team at Plaid owns the entire lifecycle of the developer and customer journey—from first interaction to long-term success. The Customer Platform team is a team within the CGX org that owns the foundational components of the customer journey: our core dashboard systems, customer risk evaluation infrastructure, and orchestration to manage the “customer” core nouns at Plaid.

Responsibilities

    • You will manage a team of 5-9 engineers who work on building, maintaining, and evolving the Customer Foundations suite.
    • You’ll collaborate with product counterparts to define the strategy and vision for this area and turn that into concrete roadmaps for the team.
    • You’ll help design and build new systems that simplify our internal and external product experience for customer onboarding, risk decision-making, and dashboard experiences.
    • You’ll partner closely with the engineering team on technical planning and execution, including high reliability.
    • Set and maintain a high bar for quality and velocity for your team, leading by example and getting in the weeds of what your team is building
    • Set and hit ambitious goals that represent delivering value to our customers and building robust foundations
    • Hire, mentor and grow engineers across a range of seniority levels
    • Run team process, including micro and macro-execution and collaboration across functions & teams.

Qualifications

    • 2+ years of engineering management experience with significant experience as a software engineer.
    • Deep experience with full-stack architecture and systems.
    • Track record of building and growing high-performing engineering teams.
    • Experience owning production systems and foundational components that support several teams. Bonus points if you have done this for customer-facing B2B systems.
$214,800 - $366,000 a year
Target base salary for this role is between $214,800 and $366,000 per year. Additional compensation in the form of equity and/or commission is dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location. Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
