The API Access team’s mission is to provide the state of the art consumer and customer experience by becoming the leading platform to democratize secure and convenient financial data sharing. Our goal is to expand and secure Plaid’s access to sustainable and quality data from financial data partners by moving to an API-based ecosystem, while making our integrations more secure and reliable. We will achieve this by investing in products and products that cater to the API integration needs of our data providers and investing in the platform functionality to accelerate migrations & registrations, improve customer experience and build trust in the ecosystem.

As an experienced engineer on the API Access team, you will be responsible for building, improving and influencing design for products and solutions that cater to the API integration needs of our data providers, build platform functionality to accelerate migrations and improve customer experience through better onboarding and integration experiences.
This involves updating products, features, and services across our entire stack to ensure seamless experiences for our customers, consumers, and partners. It is the most mission-critical component of our infrastructure as it connects millions of bank accounts and billions of connections to Plaid. We're architected around decoupled services.

We are looking for someone to come in and help piece together a long-term roadmap for how these services need to work together to ensure reliable, high quality data access. Most of our backend core systems are written in Go and Typescript, but that's not a prerequisite.

$162,000 - $243,000 a year
Target base salary for this role is between $162000 and $243000 per year. Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location.
