The Fintech team at Plaid combines deep product and industry knowledge and is focused on helping both upcoming and well-established Fintechs take their growth to the next level. Our thesis is that every company in Fintech can benefit from leveraging a bespoke Plaid solution, focused on helping them achieve their unique goals and objectives. In this role, you'll be the individual helping us achieve this vision.

Your focus will be on working with Plaid's existing Fintech customers, deeply understanding their business, and aligning our solutions to help them achieve both near and long-term goals. You'll also be tasked with engaging Fintechs that don't currently work with Plaid, identifying opportunities to partner, and owning the end-to-end sales process.

Responsibilities

    • Identify use cases and prospect into high-growth companies in the Fintech space.
    • Develop a book of high-potential engaged prospects and maintain a sufficient pipeline to support successful attainment against quota
    • Successfully lead a technical sales motion of guiding engineers, product, and growth team members for the entire life-cycle from prospecting to close
    • Coordinate cross-functional resources and drive initiatives across Plaid to support a consultative sales motion
    • Manage pipeline and accurately forecast deal value and win probability.
    • Own mastery of Plaid solutions and evangelize for industry success across fintech, crypto, and other industries

Requirements

    • A minimum of 5+ years in a quota-carrying direct sales role, with a strong track record of attainment
    • Excellent prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills; consultative sales approach with a customer-centric mindset
    • Working knowledge of APIs and a desire to understand how Plaid works 'under hood' 
    • Professional yet relaxed communication style, with the ability to break-down complex concepts and explain them in simple terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of an organization into a consultative selling process
$120,000 - $140,000 a year
Target base salary for this role is $120,000 per year. Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location. Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
