The Scaled Access team enables financial institutions to quickly develop financial APIs compatible with Financial Data Exchange (FDX). We believe that by enabling more self-serve onboarding for Financial Institutions, we can scale Plaid’s ability to work with even the smallest data suppliers and institutions allowing us to better provide financial freedom to everyone.

As a member of the Scaled Access team, you will be leading development of product features with complex backend components: data accuracy and service reliability are the highest priorities in these features that have real-life impact on tens of millions of users. You will also influence the team to make the right technical decisions in our backend services and keep evolving the architecture for long term success. Your leadership skills will help us break down silos, fostering open communication and knowledge sharing that lead to effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

    • Design and implement critical workflows end to end
    • Set the technical direction for the team
    • Hold a high bar of engineering excellence
    • Provide feedback on technical designs and conduct code reviews
    • Mentor and help grow other engineers
    • Lead planning and set technical goals

Qualifications

    • You have 8+ years of experience in designing scalable backend services
    • You thrive in a hands-on environment and are eager to solve problems directly
    • You are always committed to hold a high standard of engineering quality
    • You promote a culture of collaboration and can effectively communicate
    • You enjoy taking full responsibility of a project, from conception to delivery
    • You are passionate about mentoring engineers and supporting their career development
    • Influence a team’s technical direction

$182,520 - $297,000 a year
Target base Salary for this role is $185,250- $297,000 per year. Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location.
