We’re looking for an experienced recruiting leader to oversee our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) recruiting team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, operations, and leadership. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders, scale hiring operations with rigor and creativity, and inspire a team that recruits across Plaid’s most critical functions.

Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of recruiting managers and recruiters focused on Engineering, Product, and Design hiring.
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across EPD, influencing and aligning on hiring priorities, strategies, and outcomes.
- Operationalize recruiting at scale, ensuring hiring processes are efficient, data-driven, and consistent while maintaining a great candidate experience.
- Evaluate and improve processes by identifying gaps, proposing creative solutions, and implementing best practices for long-term success.
- Foster a culture of ownership and curiosity, encouraging your team to challenge assumptions, learn continuously, and raise the bar on talent acquisition.
- Drive accountability and results, balancing urgency with quality, and ensuring hiring goals are met in partnership with business leaders.
- Coach and develop team, providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 5+ years leading managers or senior recruiters in high-growth environments.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to drive decisions.
- Proven success building trust and credibility with challenging or senior stakeholders.
- Experience operationalizing engineering or technical recruiting at scale, with strong knowledge of best practices in hiring.
- Ability to critically evaluate recruiting processes, propose improvements, and lead change management.
- Track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams, with a leadership style rooted in collaboration, ownership, and curiosity.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of the business.
- A growth mindset, resourcefulness, and drive to continually raise the bar for recruiting at Plaid.
$129,504 - $289,200 a year
The target base salary for this position ranges from $129,504/year to $289,200/year. The target base salary will vary based on the job's location.
Our geographic zones are as follows:
Zone 1 - New York City and San Francisco Bay Area
Zone 2 - Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington D.C.
Zone 3 - Austin, Boston, Denver, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego
Zone 4 - Raleigh-Durham and all other US cities
Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location.
