Champions Ascension + Plai Labs is looking for a versatile and talented Technical Artist to join our Bogotá studio! Your role is to create tools, in-game VFX, work on general technical problem solving/support, and work closely with fellow artists & engineers on art implementation to the game. Today, we are creating games to allow for true, digital ownership; including Champions Ascension, our NFT based multi-player game along with a suite of web 3 products to compliment this new social and gaming arena.

**In order to be considered, you MUST provide us with either a link to an online portfolio, website or a demo reel showcasing recent work upon application submission.


    • Create AAA visual effects for in-game use, that look amazing and don’t hinder performance.
    • Implement art assets and animation implementation in Unity.
    • Solve visual issues and enhance fidelity within Unity with script and tool creation.
    • Responsible for collaboratively developing the production pipeline to ensure efficient asset creation and delivery, and a streamlined process for artists and engineers.
    • Develop shaders in Unity, and collaborate with engineering for parallel development in the game engine.
    • Contribute and assist in other areas like character/environment rigging and FX for creating, debugging, and streamlining asset production.


    • Must have worked on at least two 3D games from conception to completion.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with a video game pipeline or equivalent.
    • Extended knowledge in Unity.
    • Experience working with game engineers.
    • Must be well-rounded in the whole 3D pipeline, especially modeling and animation.
    • Great artistic sensibility and ability to execute the art direction through technical means.
    • Understanding of the technical requirements for optimizing game performance.
    • C# scripting: Ability to understand existing code base and add extensions
    • C# scripting: Load/Unload assets, effects triggering and transform binding, animation transition and states.
    • C# scripting: Ability to communicate with engineers and knowledgeable tech people will be very useful. That's where you will solve most of the problems!
    • Effects: working with Shuriken and VFXGraph to deliver AAA visual effects.
    • Rendering: Understanding of Material/Textures and Shaders
    • Rendering: Shader scripting - node based/nividiaCG
    • Character Pipeline: Understanding of character pipeline start to finish
    • Character Pipeline: Rigging/Exporting
    • Character Pipeline: Troubleshooting hierarchy/skinning issues in game

Nice To Have

    • Proficiency with 3ds max.
    • Proficiency with Photoshop.
