As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a Project Leader to join our Product Development team.

The Role 

A Project Leader at PI thrives in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment, is highly motivated, and quick to learn and adapt as needed. This is a client facing role that requires outstanding organisational skills, a strong attention to detail, a proven ability to problem solve conflicting technical requirements and deliver quality work to meet deadlines.

The Key Traits

    • Relator – Ability to effectively work with multiple stakeholders, with different and often conflicting priorities. Is aware of their own and other’s motivation and preferred working style and adapts accordingly to achieve results.
    • Adaptable – Effectively adapts to changing circumstances, identifying and navigating roadblocks.
    • No Surprises – Proactively manages client expectations through regular review of the schedule and financials (fees and expenses versus budget)
    • Delivers Results – Delivers projects on time, to budget and within technical scope.
    • Business Savvy – Understands PI's business needs, strategy and environment, acts and makes decisions that positively impact client outcomes and project profitability.

The Role Accountabilities

    • Coordinates and engages the project team to deliver PI business and customer outcomes within scope, clarifying priorities and enabling a shared sense of team direction.
    • Provides input into proposals and completes estimations sheets in consultation with Program Manager. 
    • Identifies areas of improvement for their project delivery
    • Ensures all project documentation and communication to client is of the high-quality standard required.
    • Identifies and adjusts project schedule to meet changing project objectives

The Typical Experiences

    • 1-2 years as a managing others, tasks, resource and budget estimations, in consulting-based projects
    • 5+ years of technical product development experience
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals
    • Knowledge in various project management methodologies
    • Graduate degree in relevant field (e.g. Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics, Software, Biomedical Engineering, Science etc.)

The Nice to Haves

    • Experience in the medical device/IVD/pharmaceutical/healthcare industries
    • Experience with ISO13485 or equivalent quality standards
    • Experience in managing multidisciplinary projects developing both hardware and embedded software
