We are seeking an experienced Stores Manager with experience of managing multiple facilities to join our team in Box Hill/Blackburn North.

The Role

    • The Stores Manager supervises the receipt, dispatch, and storage of Planet Innovations incoming and outgoing goods and supplies. They are responsible for managing stores staff, vehicles, other equipment and oversee the administrative functions of the store's areas across Planet Innovations multiple facilities.
    • Responsible for implementing the company’s operational policies and procedures and oversee the day-to-day running of the stores areas. Ensuring employees are conducting effective and safe use of the stores equipment in addition to ensuring safety of all staff. They are responsible for the motivation, discipline & completion of tasks of staff, maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of stores activities.
    • Accountable for the timely completion of all stores specific tasks and ensuring that the manufacturing cells at each site has stock as required.  If required, they assist with order processing, deliveries, loading and unloading freight from vehicles.

The Accountabilities

    • Responsible for the management of the stores functions & teams across Planet Innovations multiple facilities.
    • Responsible to manage all QT & on hold affected stock in stores across multiple facilities.
    • Picking, packing and dispatching of customer orders if/when required.
    • Ensure customer needs are met on a daily basis.
    • Manage productivity, performance and training of all stores staff.
    • Full adherence to health and safety policy and procedures.
    • Responsible for stores compliance to all PI Policy’s,  WI’s & ISO requirements.
    • Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations.
    • Manage product cycle counts and inventory accuracy across multiple sites.
    • Interact with customers/suppliers in resolving delivery, and/or compliance issues.
    • Ability to coach, develop, engage and retain a team of employees.
    • Supervise timely and accurate data entry for all services performed.
    • Ensure daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.
    • Responsible for inventory control processes to minimize loss and maximize accuracy in stock levels through regular audits/ stock counts.
    • Prepare and review stores reports on performance metrics, including shipping times, order accuracy, and productivity, to identify areas for improvement.
    • Other tasks from time to time as required.

The Typical Experiences

    • Minimum of 5 years experience in warehouse manager roles within the Medical Device industry or similar.
    • Degree in Logistics, International shipping, Business/Supply Chain management or similar essential.
    • Strong history of people and performance management across a busy warehouse environment.
    • Pays strict attention to detail.

    • Train employees and helps with problem solving and decision making.
    • Has sound computer literacy skills to assist with writing processes & procedures.

    • Strong work ethic.
    • Good knowledge of record keeping.
    • Current forklift license.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
    • Understanding and working knowledge of ISO 13465 & 9001
