As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our PI Innovation Services team.
The Role
As a Senior Electronics Engineer you are responsible for contributing to project outcomes and making critical decisions on the electronic design elements of a product. You will be responsible for the overall end to end electronics elements of a project/product throughout the product lifecycle from concept through to implementation of the final product and various projects.
The Accountabilities
- Lead role in electronics design activities (architecture, schematics, PCB layouts, procurement and testing) broadly across projects as well as detailed design of boards, modules and systems including all documentation activities.
- Lead role in ensuring that electronics design outputs satisfy project requirements and customer expectations.
- Lead role in electronics debug and test activities as called for in projects or as required to overcome issues which arise.
- Contribute to System design activities – requirements gathering, system design, architectural, top level design and prototyping or concept evaluation
- Collaborate with other engineers (specifically software and Mechanical Engineers) to ensure smooth integration
- Apply design for manufacture, test and regulatory compliance to PI electronics designs
- Manage subcontractors where applicable e.g. build technicians, board layouts etc
The Typical Experiences
- 8+ years Electronics product design and engineering experience in various regulated industries.
- Relevant experience in most aspects of the product development cycle, from design through to manufacture.
- Some experience in developing medical and IVD devices, from concept to production.
- Familiarity with international quality standards e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and FDA QSR regulations.
- Customer facing experience in a consulting style environment.
- Graduate degree in engineering (i.e. Electronics).
