The Role
 
PI Services is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to win new business and grow our existing manufacturing business. This role is responsible for identifying, negotiating with, and nurturing new business relationships and growing business with existing clients to achieve revenue and profit targets aligned to PI Services' strategic plan.
 
While working on ground-breaking medical and diagnostic devices there exists an opportunity to have a real influence on projects, to shape product visions and roadmaps, and to deliver products to market which bring tangible benefits to people’s lives.

The Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for actively identifying, driving and closing new business opportunities that delivering on PI Services annual manufacturing revenue targets.
    • Responsibility for developing growth strategies and plans to increase client base aligned to PI strategy and sustainable profitability
    • Identifying, evaluating and leading the growth of a pipeline of business opportunities
    • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of PI products and having the ability to converse with clients around manufacturing processes for complex electro-mechanical systems and clean room consumables manufacture including; regulatory requirements and the manufacturing establishment, verification and validation processes.
    • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete client records in the PI CRM -Salesforce.
    • A core member of the business development team helping to develop strategies and roadmaps to increase market share, brand, and client awareness.
    • Lead negotiations on terms of business and pricing with prospective and existing clients to achieve revenue and profit growth targets.
    • Lead and secure strategic partnership initiatives with businesses that will enable ongoing opportunities with PI Design, Manufacturing, and Digital groups.

The Qualifications

    • Typically has a minimum of 10+ years Business Development experience in various industries delivering the end to end sale process
    • Proven client-facing experience in services industry (i.e. consulting; product development; innovation)
    • Demonstrates strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated capability establishing service-related costing models; scoping requirements, development of proposals, and successful negotiation.
    • Experience in influencing and leading in order to drive PI and client outcomes across a broad range of stakeholders.
    • Compliance with PI internal sales process methodology and standards, including opportunity identification
    • Familiarity and compliance with PI policies & procedures and international quality standards e.g. ISO9001, ISO13485, and FDA QSR regulations
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field (e.g. engineering, computer science)

    • Flexible remote and in-office work schedule depending on business and client needs 
    • Must be able to travel regularly for client projects, potentially working at client sites for extended periods within the USA, up to 50% 
$160,000 - $190,000 a year
