As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team, based in Box Hill on a maternity leave contract.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days onsite.

The Role

    • A Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in ensuring that business financial activity is recorded accurately, on time and complies with company policies/accounting standards.
    • The Senior Accountant is also responsible for providing support through the provision of analysis on financial results and accounting issues to the Finance Manager and business unit staff.

The Accountabilities

    • Supporting the Finance Manager and wider Finance Team
    • Performing reconciliations of general ledger and other sub-ledger accounts
    • Support on monthly management reporting to the executive team
    • Management of the Australian Accounts Payable function with three direct reports
    • Maintain financial data integrity and alignment to internal accounting and control systems
    • Lead and initiate process improvements within the finance department
    • Supporting the external audit process
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate billing to customers
    • Participation in development of budgets and forecasts where required
    • Generating invoices to customers
    • Analysing revenue, cost of sales and assisting in resolving any anomalies
    • Ensure compliance with relevant finance PI policies and guidelines
    • Other duties as required commensurate with your skills and experience 

The Typical Experiences

    • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience as an accountant in a commercial environment
    • Experience in the use of ERP accounting systems (D365 highly desirable)
    • Proficient in Excel
    • Compliance with policies, procedures and international quality standards (ISO 9001)
    • A tertiary qualification in a finance/commerce-based discipline and CA/CPA qualified
