Plangrid is looking for a Business Ops Engineer to help build internal tools that power our business teams and scale our rapidly growing customer base. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, operations, finance, support, order management and product to build lasting tools for our internal teams.

About the Role

- Architect Salesforce data models and processes
- Collaborate effectively with our Backend development team, UX and Product Management to help shape product design
- Work with engineering to define and implement a scalable, performant, minimal, and error-resistant integration between Salesforce and engineering systems
- Have a passion for delivering high quality product and services and writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well
- Create a robust test environment that is consistently available
- Design and develop test cases and implement automated test suites. Understand REST APIs and best-practices for Salesforce integrations with engineering systems
- Plan the buildout of the Salesforce and integration activities along with SF Engineers
- Work with product manager to gather, select, and eliminate requirements. Serve as a second set of keen eyes on requirements, with a focus on how Ops processes and tools work and where they might break
- Contribute to the analysis and refinement of functional requirements. Communicate with all parties and users required to implement new models-- sales, finance, support, engineering, and order management
- Apply experience to making major changes to a production system while responsibly balancing the scale and staging of changes
- Understand our existing sales operations and be able to relate them to the pricing implementation
- Guard against backwards incompatible changes
- Participate and promote architectural initiatives, balancing long-term velocity with short-term customer needs
- Lead the technical execution of PlanGrid Customer Portal

About You

- Proficient in APEX
- Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C, etc.)
- Have a technical undergraduate degree or higher (CS, Math, Engineering, etc.)
- Have a strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, theory basics, etc.)
- Extensive experience with API design
- Experience integrating Salesforce platform with backend systems using REST API
- Comfortable as both a team leader and strong individual contributorUnderstand security best-practices for modern web apps
