As the Cloud Security Analyst I, you will support the Manager of Information Security in the planning, implementation and ongoing Cloud Security Program that complies with and structures around NIST and InfoSec guidelines. The Cloud Security Analyst I will recommend and help implement cloud security monitoring tools that will improve infrastructure transparency. This person will ensure that PPPSW remains in compliance with applicable laws and regulations as identified in the Corporate Compliance Program.

The ideal candidate will have experience safeguarding computing enterprises involving multiple resources in a cloud-hosted environments, have experience working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platform technologies, and have experience working and/or managing SIEM, understanding all the inputs/data sources.

In this role, you'll get to:

    • Implement, configure, and maintain technical security controls. e.g. IDS/IPS, next-generation firewalls (including WAF), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), network segmentation, encryption, least privilege, and access management.

    • Make recommendations to configuration and tuning of SIEM, and other network and application monitoring and audit tools.

    • Monitor/audit network and application system events and user activity for anomalous events, including information security incidents that may compromise PPPSW systems, personally identifiable information, and/or other PPPSW confidential information.

    • Monitor systems to significantly increase the degree of automation so that triage and initial processing of security alarms from the security analytics systems are automated as much as possible.

    • Analyze the performance of our security use cases (frequency and accuracy) and compare those to the responses.

    • Test the accuracy of the alarms; conducts a long-term analysis of triggered alerts and incidents.

    • Initiate and as necessary participate in incident response activities, in partnership with the HIPAA Security Officer and Compliance and Privacy Office, upon discovery of known or suspected unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of confidential information, or compromise of PPPSW systems.

    • Make configurations and updates to network and application security features, in partnership with other members of the IT department.

    • Participate in incident response activities; in partnership with the HIPAA Security Officer, Compliance and Privacy, and other members of the IT department; to mitigate risks related to known or suspected unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of confidential information, or compromise of PPPSW systems.

    • Partner with other members of the IT department, Compliance and Privacy Office, business owners, and consultants to conduct ongoing security risk analyses and implement security risk management activities (including corrective and preventive actions [CAPAs] related to substantiated incidents and high-priority risks). 

    • Apply measures to foster confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of PPPSW network, systems, endpoints, and subsystems.

    • Help ensure there is no retribution or retaliation against workforce members who, in good faith, report a question or concern about a known or suspected security risk or incident.

    • Participate in professional development training and events as necessary for current information and skill sets relevant to the job role.

What we're looking for:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or other relevant major; or equivalent job experience and certifications.

    • 2+ years of experience working in Cloud Security or relevant IT analyst role.

    • Must have a CompTIA Security+ Certification.

    • Experience safeguarding computing enterprises involving multiple resources in a cloud-hosted environments.

    • Experience working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platform technologies.

    • Experience and knowledge of security-related technologies, systems, and tools.

    • Experience working and/or managing SIEM, understands all the inputs/data sources.

Preferred qualifications include:

    • 1+ years of experience in IT infrastructure for healthcare organization.

    • 2+ years of experience working in a hybrid or cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP).

    • Certifications: Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate, ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
$86,609 - $90,939 a year
