The Pilot Process Development team is looking for a Research Associate to join our internal scale-up and development work and support in-house manufacturing. We are looking for a motivated scientist with mammalian cell culture experience and a natural appetite for challenge. Roles and Responsibilities

    • Maintenance and differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem cells utilizing 2D and 3D platforms
    • Routine culture analysis, including cell counts, flow cytometry, and microscopy
    • Routinely executing milli-fluidic bioreactor runs to generate platelet-like cells (PLCs)
    • Cell and PLC processing, including concentration and cryopreservation
    • Keeping accurate and detailed records of experiments and results
    • Authoring technical documentation such as SOPs and Batch records
    • Organizing an effective working schedule and prioritize tasks appropriately
    • Performing lab maintenance duties, including media preparation, and maintaining stock
    • Presenting results and progress updates to other scientific teams

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

    • Authorized to work in the U.S. – Required
    • BS or MS in Biological Engineering or related field
    • Mammalian cell culture experience – Required
    • Relevant lab experience in academic and/or industry settings – a plus
    • Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, microscopy, milli-fluidic systems, and/or cGMP manufacturing is a plus
    • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, with minimal supervision
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
    • Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and document experimental data
    • Highly motivated, comfortable at multitasking, able to problem solve on the fly
    • Must have scheduling flexibility to enable weekend and holiday work rotations
