In this role you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Plus' autonomous onboard software infrastructure. You will work collaboratively with a diverse group of experts in areas such as computer vision, robotics, machine learning, embedded systems, mechatronics, and functional safety to develop a highly reliable runtime system with high data rate and stringent latency requirements, that powers our autonomous driving platform.

Responsibilities

    • Design robust architecture for reliability and availability of distributed embedded system with multimodal sensing support Integrate and explore advanced hardware features to support sophisticated deep learning models
    • Develop and maintain the high performance C++ runtime engine that powers the entire autonomous driving software stack
    • Continue to optimize system performance and scalability, enhance and expand the toolchain to support and facilitate system diagnostics and tuning, including but not limited to memory management, IPC, networking, GPU and other hardware accelerators
    • Work with other functional groups to design and implement new features and improve the performance of the existing features

Required Skills

    • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or other related field
    • approximately 3-7 years of industry experience using the latest versions of C++
    • Experience with RTOS Experience with Linux kernel tracing and performance optimization preferred
    • Experience with ROS or commercial DDS preferred

Salary Range

    • $160,000 - $230,000 a year
