What does the growth potential look like?
• We focus heavily on employee career progression and provide many internal opportunities for upward advancement. A Sr. Software Engineer will typically progress to Principal Engineer and/or Architect. There are also opportunities to move into other departments depending on your areas of interest.

What qualifications we’re looking for:
• Sr. Software engineer with at least 7 years of professional development experience with at least 5 years of experience developing Java/Spring Boot microservices
• Solid experience with Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes on Cloud (Azure or AWS)
• Must have hands-on experience with large scale distributed systems based on microservices
• Must have experience with data pipelines processing large amounts of data in Real Time or Near Real Time.
• Knowledgeable (at least) on Lakehouse architecture, Azure ADLS Gen2, Apache Hudi
• Excellent organization, critical-thinking and personal leadership skills
• Self-starter with the ability to deliver with minimal supervision
• Being okay with the uncomfortable feeling that comes from learning new things
• Team player
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Proven experience as a great Engineer
• We also really like candidates that have a good understanding of Enterprise Design patterns.
What does a typical day look like for a Software Engineer for Data Platform?
• You would be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting our emerging big data analytics capabilities through the development and maintenance of advanced data ingestion, processing, modeling and reporting capabilities.
• The majority of your day would be spent working with a cross-functional team of developers, business analysts, and quality analysts to specify, design, develop, test, and implement software.
• We’re huge on professional development, and so there’s always a training class, hackathon, or an internal course being offered.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related discipline

$139,500 - $150,000 a year
At PointClickCare, base salary is one of the many components that make up our total rewards package. The USD base salary range for this position is $139,500-150,000 (not overtime eligible) + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by job and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience including professional and lived experience, and/or work location.
