Position Summary:
 
As a member of the Enterprise Solutions & Applications (ESA) team you will play a crucial role in supporting and contributing to strategic initiatives as well as building and maintaining relationships with the business community. 
 
In this role as the QA Lead, you will be responsible for leading and implementing QA best practices, automation, and manual testing across the ESA department in OCIO. This role collaborates closely with the business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Project Managers, the DevOps/Release Manager, and other ESA Team members to ensure successful delivery of projects and enhancements.

Required Skills and Experience:

•10+  years of QA hands-on experience and comprehensive understanding of quality assurance principles and industry best practices.
•Excellent communication skills to convey test strategies, explain QA concepts, issues, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify and address issues in both automated and manual testing processes.
•Leadership skills to lead and mentor team members who are new to test automation and manual testing.
•Ability to collaborate with development, QA, and other cross-functional teams.
•Ability to manage testing efforts within project timelines and resource constraints.
•Experience in all phases of the SLDC and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies with experience working in both Waterfall and Agile development environments.
•2+ years of DevOps hands-on experience and familiarity with DevOps tools e.g., Azure DevOps, Copado, etc. 
•Experience using Jira, Confluence and Zephyr or similar tools to track bug life cycles and documentation.
•Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in both manual and automation testing.
•Ability to work in a highly effective team environment prioritizing team results while being autonomous and accountable for individual deliverables.
•Collaborate with ESA team members and other stakeholders to research and understand applications. 
•BS or BA in Business Operations, Computer Science, Information Services, or equivalent experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities: 

Test Automation and Testing
•Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites and industry standard frameworks and perform automated testing.
•Write and maintain automated test scripts using industry standard design patterns to write effective code.
•In collaboration with the DevOps/Release Manager, implement popular automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, etc.
•Understanding of test design techniques and develop comprehensive test strategies and plans and explain them to other stakeholders.
•Use version control systems like Git to manage and version test scripts.
•Using CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI, etc.), automate the testing and deployment process.
•Create and maintain test documentation.
•Experience with API testing tools like Postman or similar.
•Strong programming skills in languages commonly used for test automation, e.g., Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
•Knowledge of and experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, TestNG or similar.
•Understand behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber or similar.

Manual Testing:

•Design, implement, and maintain manual testing processes and coach other team members.
•Perform various manual test types, implement processes, write and maintain test documentation and coach other team members on manual testing best practices. 
•Write and maintain test plans, test cases, checklists, and other manual testing key components including conducting test case reviews.
•Facilitate defect triage and manage overall timely bug lifecycle.
•Troubleshoot, analyze, and report product defects in an easy to reproduce manner.
•Work to identify user story dependencies; participate in both grooming and planning working sessions to validate user story definition, impact, priority, and value.
•Experience and knowledge of experience-based testing in Salesforce strongly preferred.
•Experience conducting manual testing in Salesforce and Zuora strongly preferred.
